As&iacute; como el ciclo menstrual de cada persona es &uacute;nico, as&iacute; tambi&eacute;n cada persona experimenta su per&iacute;odo de manera diferente. Para algunas personas, su per&iacute;odo aparece y desaparece con sangrado y pocos s&iacute;ntomas que en su mayor&iacute;a son solo un inconveniente. Pero para otras, ese momento del mes puede significar calambres severos, dolor, fatiga, mareos, diarrea y otros s&iacute;ntomas que pueden requerir que realmente prioricen el autocuidado e incluso que planifiquen alrededor de &eacute;l. Mucha de la experiencia de la gente existe en alg&uacute;n lugar en medio de estos dos extremos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dependiendo de lo que sea normal para ti, definitivamente debes planear tratarte con mucha amabilidad durante tu per&iacute;odo. Respeta tus propios sentimientos, tu grado de comodidad o incomodidad, y el ritmo con el que te sientes c&oacute;moda.  Esto puede significar que contin&uacute;as con tu vida como de costumbre, o puede significar que tengas que hacer una pausa para disminuir el ritmo de las cosas. Esto se aplica a todo, desde la actividad f&iacute;sica hasta el calendario social y el horario de sue&ntilde;o.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cuando se trata de actividad f&iacute;sica, presta atenci&oacute;n a tus niveles de comodidad y energ&iacute;a. Algunas personas contin&uacute;an con sus rutinas de ejercicio habituales y, de hecho, la actividad f&iacute;sica de este tipo puede ayudar a aliviar los calambres, mientras que otras prefieren tomarlo con m&aacute;s calma.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cuando se trata de tu vida social, &iquest;sientes que deseas continuar con tu horario social habitual? &iquest;O quieres aprovechar la oportunidad de acurrucarte en casa con una almohadilla t&eacute;rmica y un buen libro? T&uacute; te conoces mejor, as&iacute; que respeta tu cuerpo, tus niveles de energ&iacute;a y c&oacute;mo te sientes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lo mismo sucede con el sexo. Muchas personas est&aacute;n dispuestas a intimar de muchas de las mismas maneras que lo har&iacute;an en otros momentos del mes, tal vez solo con una toalla extra en la cama o una ducha extra a&ntilde;adida al d&iacute;a. Y otras personas, ya sea por incomodidad f&iacute;sica o por preferencia, prefieren tomar un descanso. No hay bien o mal &#8211; t&uacute; haces lo tuyo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Si regularmente experimentas s&iacute;ntomas del per&iacute;odo que interfieren con tu vida diaria habitual, como calambres dolorosos, mareos o fatiga, es posible que desees intentar ser m&aacute;s proactiva con respecto al autocuidado durante ese tiempo. Esto puede parecer diferente para todos. Podr&iacute;a significar que tomes preventivamente un analg&eacute;sico de venta libre al comienzo de tu per&iacute;odo (aunque debes consultar con tu proveedor de atenci&oacute;n m&eacute;dica para averiguar qu&eacute; es seguro para ti). Puede significar que mantengas una almohadilla t&eacute;rmica cerca o te metas en en un ba&ntilde;o caliente y relajante para una terapia de calor. Y si la fatiga tiende a golpearte con fuerza, podr&iacute;a significar que no planifiques noches largas, para que realmente puedas priorizar el descanso.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tambi&eacute;n puedes tratar de ser consciente de lo que a&ntilde;ades y lo que no est&aacute;s a&ntilde;adiendo a tu cuerpo durante este tiempo. Puede ayudar mantenerte hidratada y comer una dieta nutritiva, como verduras, granos enteros, frutas, prote&iacute;nas magras, grasas buenas y productos l&aacute;cteos. Tambi&eacute;n puede ayudar evitar cosas como la cafe&iacute;na, el alcohol y el tabaco (el &uacute;ltimo de los cuales siempre debes evitar), lo cual puede empeorar los calambres. Y tambi&eacute;n es posible que desees evitar los alimentos particularmente salados, que pueden deshidratarte. Como con la mayor&iacute;a de las cosas, debes buscar lo que sea lo mejor para ti.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No hay nada malo en respetar las necesidades de tu cuerpo y escuchar los ritmos de tu ciclo. Es realmente asombroso lo que nuestros cuerpos son capaces de hacer y lo que nos comunicar&aacute;n si escuchamos. Darte un poco de amor extra durante este per&iacute;odo es solo una manera de mostrarte la amabilidad que definitivamente mereces.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pero hay una diferencia entre ser amable contigo misma con el autocuidado enfocado en el per&iacute;odo que puede ayudar a hacer que ese momento del mes sea m&aacute;s manejable para ti y lidiar con el tipo de molestias por las que realmente deber&iacute;as ver a tu proveedor de atenci&oacute;n m&eacute;dica.
