You playfully ask, already knowing the answer, whether <span class=\"pronoun-they\" data-pronoun=\"they\">they is<\/span> the one who made such a big mess. Then, you\u2019re stunned as the word \u201cno\u201d leaves <span class=\"pronoun-their\" data-pronoun=\"their\">their<\/span> lips in reply.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It can be surprising when you hear your child\u2019s first fib, as <span class=\"pronoun-they\" data-pronoun=\"they\">they is<\/span> just learning to talk, and you don\u2019t want <span class=\"pronoun-them\" data-pronoun=\"them\">them<\/span> to get in the habit of being dishonest.
