Baby<\/span> may still be pretty small when you look at them<\/span> next to, say, an elephant, or the Grand Canyon, or even yourself, but compared to when they was<\/span> born, Baby<\/span> is massive. By this point, Baby<\/span> is about twice the size they was<\/span> when they was<\/span> born.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s lucky for you that it\u2019s around this point that their<\/span> growth rate starts to slow down a little – if they<\/span> kept growing at this rate, you\u2019d end up spending all of their<\/span> childhood in and out of stores, buying new clothes – at least until they was<\/span> too tall to fit through doorways.<\/p>\n

Now that they isn\u2019t<\/span> going to be quite so busy growing up a storm, though, Baby<\/span> is probably going to have to find some new hobbies to fill their<\/span> time with. These hobbies may include grabbing things, throwing things, grabbing things which they then throws<\/span>, and growing in tooth upon tooth upon tooth, until their<\/span> little smile is filled in with pearly whites.<\/p>\n

They is<\/span> also just about due for another check-up, if they hasn\u2019t<\/span> had it already. At Baby<\/span>\u2019s 4-month check-up, their<\/span> healthcare provider will weigh and measure them<\/span>, give them<\/span> their<\/span> next round of vaccination shots, and answer any questions you may have about Baby<\/span>\u2019s growth. Since you\u2019re getting closer to the time to start introducing solids, it might be a good time to ask the pediatrician any questions you might have about that, even though they is<\/span> still on the younger side, and there\u2019s a good chance you might not need that information for a few more weeks. Still, it\u2019s good to know, just in case Baby<\/span> decides tomorrow is a good day to grab your spoon out of your hand and drag themselves<\/span> into the world of solid foods.<\/p>\n

Baby<\/span> continues to develop in a number of exciting ways, ranging from the physical, to the social, to the mental, and beyond. They definitely knows<\/span> who you are at this point, and may show it – though it usually takes a bit longer, like closer to the six-month mark, some babies begin to show the first signs of separation anxiety around this time. Whether they gets<\/span> fussy or not though when you leave, it\u2019s clear that Baby<\/span> is taking a great liking to the folks they spends<\/span> a lot of time with.<\/p>\n

Baby<\/span> is also getting closer and closer to full-blown talking, as they continues<\/span> to expand the menu of noises that they is<\/span> able to make.<\/p>\n
