You help them<\/span> build up their<\/span> core and trunk-strength just by setting them<\/span> on their<\/span> belly during tummy time. You help them<\/span> get familiar with language and start getting ready to learn how to speak and understand words themselves<\/span> by talking to them<\/span>, reading to them<\/span>, and singing to them<\/span>. It\u2019s during this time that Baby<\/span>\u2019s vocal skills really start coming into play. You won\u2019t be hearing fully-formed words for a few months, but pretty soon, the cooing and gurgling should really pick up. You\u2019ve got to walk before you can run, and you\u2019ve got to make strange, throaty sounds before you babble uncontrollably. That\u2019s the phrase, right?<\/p>\n And besides helping them<\/span> with developmental milestones, you also help Baby<\/span> grow up healthy and strong, by bringing them<\/span> in to the doctor\u2019s office for their<\/span> scheduled vaccines.<\/p>\n The vaccines coming up in Baby<\/span>\u2019s near future include the Hepatitis B vaccine around the 1-month mark, and then the DTaP, Rotavirus, and Hib vaccines, among others, around 2 months. Doctors and associations like the American Academy of Pediatrics and the CDC are in universal agreement that immunizations are safe and effective, and there not just to protect Baby<\/span>, but also even younger babies, and those with compromised immune systems.<\/p>\n Baby<\/span> isn\u2019t just seeing faces these days, but is getting more and more interested in them, too.
